Are there any classic holiday movies or TV shows that you look forward to watching year after year? What are your all-time favorites? Are there any you simply can't stand?

I love all of the holiday movies/shows with the Muppets. Most of the Rankin Bass lineup will get a grin out of me. And of course, who doesn't love Charlie Brown?

Possibly the only one I don't particularly like is the Rankin Bass special about Jack Frost. It's rather nonsensical.

a mini!art spam, consisting of one picture found hidden on my computer;

I call it 'repressed childhood memories, speep aged one. aka little fishing boat at sea')

(This is such a empty!lamer post; these past few weeks have been crazy busy at work and at home, I've barely been online. I'm looking forward to getting some time off next week and just chilling on the internet for a while, It's going to be rad. Hope everyone else's lives are a little bit more relaxing than mine has been ♥)

ETA: oh man, I forgot to mention; CLICK THIS HERE LINK because [info]arabel has actually finished her prompt art and it's gorgeous so you should go look. And stalk her really, she's kind of amazing.

Suppose I might as well.

Post the first sentence of the first post each month of the past year.

January: Well, NYE turned out to be pretty much exactly what I predicted.

February: I'm pretty tired of being taken for granted.

March: Sorry for the bit of wangst in which I was indulging last night.

April: Happy birthday, [info]phrygianmind!

May: Just when I was starting to think maybe everything was going to go away quietly, or at least stay quiet enough that I could stop being stressed, I get an email from the brat.

June: Pastor just informed me that we made around $2,000 at Saturday's yard sale.

July: Three-day weekend.

August: After a deceptively mild July, this past week we're suddenly getting slammed with humidity and thunderstorms like crazy.

September: I realize I haven't posted since my mini picspam after the camping trip.

October: Apparently I voiced my thoughts on Roman Polanski publicly by mistake, because when I woke up this morning I had comments from total strangers about my opinion.

November: Officially caught a cold yesterday, which is why very little got done today; I spent a lot of this afternoon resting.

December: I officially lost NaNo, having only accomplished 14,000 words by yesterday.

Wow, I'm kind of boring.

I'm sure many of you have heard of the FML website. Lord knows I see enough people use the expression. Well, some people -- one of whom is Emerson, founder of MuggleNet, for my fellow Harry Potter nerds -- got tired of only having a place to post the negative in this world.

So they created GMH.

GMH stands for Gives Me Hope. People sign in and post stories of true-life experiences they have had which remind them about the good that still exists in this world. Have the tissues handy.
